Styling & Versatility

Can every skirt be wrapped in all the different ways shown?

Yes, every single skirt in my collection can be wrapped and transformed into all the styles featured on the 'Ways to Wrap' page. At its heart, each garment is a generous canvas of amazing hand-printed fabric, allowing you to truly get creative. While I demonstrate four distinct styling methods online, over the years, women have played around at home and invented entirely new silhouettes. I invite you to have fun, experiment, and discover your own unique way to wear it.

How do I tie the skirt so it stays secure all day?

I highly recommend using a "double loop"—also known as a surgeon’s knot or sailor’s knot. When you bring the two ties together, simply loop one tie over the other once, and then loop it through a second time before pulling it snug. This brilliant technique holds the fabric firmly in place all day long. It gives you complete security without having to pull a traditional knot so tight that it becomes uncomfortable or impossible to untie later. You can see me demonstrate this effortless, secure loop in every single styling video.

Are the cotton skirts wrapped exactly the same way as the silk ones?

Yes, absolutely. The cotton I work with is a beautiful 100% cotton sateen. Because a sateen weave is constructed similarly to satin silk, it gives the cotton a similarly gorgeous, fluid drape. I often describe it this way: if my silk skirts are a Mercedes, the cotton skirts are a Toyota. Both are incredible, high-quality pieces you will love wearing, they simply offer a slightly different everyday feel. Regardless of which fabric you choose, they fold, tie, and wrap in the exact same elegant ways.

Care & Maintenance

Since these are investment pieces ($250-$350) made of pure silk and hand-printed with non-toxic dyes, customers will be terrified of ruining them.

  • How do I wash and dry my hand-printed silk skirt? (Reiterate the "Quick Hand Wash, Cold Water, Hang to Dry" instructions).

  • Can I iron or steam my skirt? (Explain what heat does to raw silk and serigraph prints).

  • Will the colors bleed or fade when I wash it?

  • How should I pack this for travel to avoid deep wrinkles? (You mention they are great for travel—tell them exactly how to fold or roll them!).

Materials & Ethical Sourcing

Your brand story is a huge selling point. Buyers of slow fashion want to know where their money goes.

  • Where do you source your silk? (A great place to talk about your two-decade partnership with the master weavers in Northeast India).

  • What does "hand-spun and hand-woven raw silk" mean? (Explain how this differs from the slippery, mass-produced silk they might be used to).

  • How is the artwork printed onto the skirts? (Explain your serigraphy/screen-printing process and the oversized screens you use in your studios).

Purchasing, Shipping & Returns

Standard e-commerce reassurances.

  • Can I return or exchange my skirt if the colors aren't what I expected? (Since they are one-of-a-kind or limited edition, outline your policy clearly).

  • Do you ship internationally?

  • Where can I try these on in person? (A great opportunity to link to your schedule of upcoming fine art festivals across the US!).
